BFIC Minutes - July 9, 2009

Members attending: Becky Kuithe, Brian Fanguy, Clyde McKenzie, Rombelto Medrano. Pat Ojobara, Rajesh Karee Others attending: Steve Sherman

Meeting was called to order @ 7:35 PM Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Treasurer's report was presented & accepted.

Old Business: B. Fanguy reports that the pool was inspected and passed. We are still having problems with people kicking in our fences - back & front. R. Medrano will replace light bulb in back that someone removed. The pool inspector suggested latch on tennis court gate be oiled to close easily. R. Medrano & C. McKenzie gave report re weekend pool use. It was decide that we will have pool open only on Sundays. The volunteer lifeguard does not want to continue to work Saturday & only 4 people came on Saturday. We are going to investigate stricter rules for next year usage - how to verify residence, etc. P. Ojobara volunteered to cover pool next Sunday.

New Business: S. Sherman demonstrated a small camera that can be plugged into a TV($40). 2nd choice would be a DVD system ($300) and 3rd choice is one connected to the Internet. He states he will be happy to help us with installation of security system if we decide to pursue it. P. Ojobaro suggests we get dogs to patrol pool area. She volunteered to take care of dogs. B. Kuithe suggests planting thorny rose bushes or bouganvilla around inside perimeter of fence. She will check on prices . B. Fanguy is going to check on No Trespassing signs. He suggested we explore possibility of getting lights turned back on at the back of the pool. He also suggested we contact an alarm company to get an estimate. S. Sherman proposes that we notify all homeowners that we have a problem and need everyone's help. B. Fanguy suggested that we budget $1000 for camera surveillance system if we decide to do this.
