BFIC Minutes - July 10, 2008

Meeting was called to order @ 7:40 PM
Minutes of previous meeting were read & approved.
Treasurer's report was presented & accepted.
Old Business: R. Medrano fixed the clubhouse air conditioner (Hallelujah!!)- He states it should be ok to run for up to 6 hrs. @ a time which will cover meetings and weekends when pool is open. J. Bedford gave report re one foreclosure- as soon as constable posted eviction notice, homeowner went to Holt & young and paid delinquent fees. So we are down to 11 accounts with legal proceedings in progress. R. Medrano has contacted 2 people re fence repair. He went ahead & repaired corner of fence temporarily & will repair some other breaks. But fence replacement needs to be done. We need to use any extra funds we have @ the end of the year to do this. Ray Stevens has prepared 2007 financial statements & Income tax return for BFIC. We owe IRS $899.
New Business: S. Sherman suggests he put something on the Brays Forest web site about how non payment of the yearly $144 maintenance fee escalates quickly into a much larger sum that must eventually be paid. J. Bedford proposed that at least one board member or homeowner be present to represent us any time the pool is open. This was agreed upon unanimously. S. Sherman asked if we could charge rent for parking around the tennis court on the Bugle side. J. Bedford will discuss this with lawyer.
