SWIMMING POOL OPERATION for the Summer of 2007.
WE NEED TWO LIFEGUARDS TO BE PRESENT ANY TIME THE POOL IS OPEN - WE ARE LOOKING FOR TWO CERTIFIED LIFEGUARD PERSONNEL - HOPEFULLY, WHO LIVE IN THIS SUBDIVISION - WHO WOULD LIKE TO APPLY FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE SOME SUMMER SPENDING MONEY.
We have set aside sufficient funds to pay the Lifeguards $15.00 per hour for the days that they work.
If we can get enough Volunteers, the Common Grounds Swimming Pool will be scheduled to open for operation Sunday, 3 June 2007. The hours of operation will be from 1:PM until 5:PM.
If you question why only one day a week to open - remember that in 2005, we tried to get a majority of you homeowners to vote on and approve a $8.00 a month increase in the Annual Maintenance Fee in order to refurbish the facilities and pay for the operation of same - and out of 245 eligible homeowners that could have voted - only 112 actually voted, and the majority of those votes were NO! The fee that we are operating with today, in the present year 2007, was set in the year 1972!! How many of you think that you could live and survive today on the salaries that were paid back in 1972?
WE HAVE THE SAME
PROBLEM WITH THE RECREATIONAL FACILITIES!!!!!
WE DESPERATELY NEED VOLUNTEERS TO HELP IN THIS ENDEAVOR!!!
One of the Members of our Board of Directors - Mr. Clyde McKenzie - has volunteered his time to open the Pool and oversee the operation each Sunday. BUT THIS IS NOT ENOUGH -THIS IS YOUR RECREATIONAL FACILITY - IF YOU WANT IT, YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO SUPPORT IT. We need more than just one person to help run the operation.
Further to this we need to come up with ID Cards for each participating family member who intends to take advantage of the pool. Otherwise we will have people from the surrounding subdivisions taking advantage of our facilities without paying dues.
WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THIS EFFORT ALSO. So Homeowners - it is your Subdivision, your facilities, and your Property Values that are at stake here. You want it, you are going to have to pitch in and help.
